🔮 Utopia Tarot Deck for Qybala 🔮

The Utopia Tarot is a unique 88-card deck designed for Qybala, an AI-powered tarot app for self-exploration and personal growth.

Rooted in the classic Rider-Waite tradition, this deck reimagines tarot through a solarpunk-inspired future, where humans, nature, and technology coexist in harmony. In addition to the 78 traditional cards, it introduces 2 new Major Arcana archetypes and 8 Minor Arcana cards.

The project required a deep understanding of the psychological depth of tarot, its rich symbolism, mythological roots, and astrological influences, as well as the ability to translate these elements into a visually cohesive narrative.

Integrating futuristic and technological elements — wind turbines, solar panels, and robot companions — into a mystical framework while preserving tarot’s timeless symbolism was a unique challenge. Striking the right balance between esoteric tradition and sci-fi aesthetics required both my artistic expertise and a deep understanding of tarot’s symbolic.

Through close collaboration with the client, whose technical knowledge provided invaluable insights, and with the support of a talented team, I was able to seamlessly merge these concepts, shaping a visually compelling and meaningful tarot deck.
